A new chapter for Kenya Wildlife Trust

As the Kenya Wildlife Trust (KWT) continues its mission to protect and conserve Kenya’s iconic apex predators, we remain committed to collaboration and institutional growth. Today, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Celline Achieng’ as our new Executive Director.

Celline is a conservation leader and strategist with over two decades of experience in environmental management, conservation programming, and organizational leadership. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Laikipia Wildlife Forum (LWF), where she strengthened partnerships and revitalized the organization’s strategic direction.

Her career also includes leadership and technical roles at Wetlands International, the East African Wild Life Society (EAWLS), and the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF). Celline brings strengths in institutional development, strategic planning, fundraising, and multi-stakeholder engagement. Her integrity and commitment to conservation align with KWT’s mission and future aspirations.

We are confident that under Celline’s leadership, the organization will continue to grow in strength and impact.

As we enter this new chapter, we want to express our gratitude to the leaders who have guided us through this transition period: Dr. Elizabeth Pantoren, Gloria Achieng, Dr. Irene Amoke and Helen Gibbons. We are grateful for their contributions to the Trust.

Thank you to our partners, donors, and the communities we serve for your continued support. Together, we look forward to this next chapter as we embrace new opportunities to protect Kenya’s predators and its people.
